Following the huge weekend match on Sunday Manchester city vs Arsenal, the news about the red card given to Leandro Trossard, Arsenal will still have Leandro Trossard available for the next Premier League game against Leicester on Saturday.
What really happened?
Trossard was sent off the pitch by referee Michael after receiving the second yellow card given that shortly after fouling Bernardo Silva, Trossard kicked the ball away in order to delay the restarting time for the free kick which was close to the end of first half. Bu Trossard claimed after the match that he hadn’t had the whistle and was just closing the ball to continue the play.
The same happen during Brighton vs Arsenal when Declan Rice received the second yellow card for delaying the restarting of a free kick which left arsenal with 10 men on pitch.
This has constantly affected Arsenal’s performances considering they nearly loss the two matches that they received red cards.

How is Trossard allowed to play the next premier league match despite his suspension?
According to football rules, for a red card offered as a result of two yellow cards, Trossard is supposed to miss out the next game.
The red card given in the premier league matches affects all the domestic games which include EFL Carabao cup. Therefore since Arsenal’s next match is a domestic league game (Arsenal are hosting Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night), Trossard will miss the game and at the same time serve his suspension but will be available for the next match which is Leicester city in the premier league.

Arsenal are now set to face Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and also play with Leicester city on Saturday in the premier league.
