Lionel Messi continues to score as he makes it 841 career goals despite Inter Miami draw 1-1 draw with Charlotte FC on this Saturday and has now scored 23goals and 17 assists since joining the club.

Match Highlights;

In the 7TH minute Messi almost scored but the Charlotte’s goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina was forced into a stunning save to stop the Argentine from scoring.

Charlotte scored the opening goal from Karol Åšwiderski after receiving an assist from teammate Brandt Bronico minutes which took a deflection into the net minutes after the second half had just started.

After 10 minutes, Messi scored a banger which was a curve shot to the bottom comer after receiving a nice assist from Marcelo Weigandt in the 67th minute.

Inter Miami were a warded with a penalty just after Adilson Malanda made a clumsy tackle which got him a second yellow card hence red card but after play review on  VAR, referee Ramy Touchan changed his decision and also cancelled  second yellow card awarded to Adilson Malanda.

Later on the play was clearly dominated by Inter Miami as they had 9 shots to the goal, a 58% ball possession but couldn’t break the tie with Charlotte.

Luis Suarez missed an open chance to score after he received a header assist from Lionel Messi which he put over the cross bar and the match ended in a stalemate.

What is next for Inter Miami and Lionel Messi? 

Inter Miami are set to make a record of 73 points in a regular season which was set by New England Revolution in 2021, Inter Miami have now equaled the record and are now remaining with three extra games to play. Inter Miami face Columbus Crew and Toronto FC in the next matches as the hope to complete their record. Well as for Charlotte, they will continue to fight for their chances to get to the playoffs.
