What happened??

Michael Olise has been on the verge of making a difficult decision on which national team he would like to represent considering that he had many options to choose from he had to be careful. And after a long time Michael Olise has decide to represent the French side of national team.

Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is officially now no longer eligible to play for Nigeria, England, and Algeria after he completed his debut for France’s national team. The deal was done immediately after starting in their UEFA Nations League match against Italy at the Parc des Princes.

Olise was born in London to a Nigerian father and a French-Algerian mother which gave him the right to choose which country he would like to play for according to the UEFA and FIFA rules.

Olise was also eligible to play for the following countries: Nigeria, England, and Algeria

·         1.Nigeria because his father is Nigerian

·         2.England as his birth right

·         3.Algeria because his mother is Algerian

Of course, all of the above countries made attempts to try and convince him to join their national teams but now winger Michael Olise is tied to the French National team and can only play for France now.

How will Olise help Didier Deschamps’ struggling team?

Despite France losing to Italy, Olise came close to scoring a debut goal but was denied by goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who stretched to make an excellent save. This means that he is capable of scoring if given many chances and I think Olise will help the team especially in the attacking midfield and wing.

Olise is well talented in dribbling and shooting, Olise will be able to support Mbappe in the attack of France.

Our Thoughts on the matter:

Well to me, I think it wasn’t a good decision to make and this why; Olise lacks experience and would like to develop his talent. This means he needs playing time which he won’t get considering the completion from other star players in his playing positon like Barcola, Griezmann, and Kolo Muani.

But all things considered Michael Olise has joined a strong team that will enable him to achieve his dreams.
